Narrated Anas: said: It reached Safiyyah that Hafsah said: 'The daughter of a Jew' so she wept. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) entered upon her while she was crying, so he said: 'What makes you cry?' She said: 'Hafsah said to me that I am the daughter of a Jew.' So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'And you are the daughter of a Prophet, and your uncle is a Prophet, and you are married to a Prophet, so what is she boasting to you about?' Then he said: 'Fear Allah, O Hafsah.'

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حميد،‏‏‏‏ قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بَلَغَ صَفِيَّةَ أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ بِنْتُ يَهُودِيٍّ فَبَكَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ تَبْكِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا يُبْكِيكِ ؟ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْ لِي حَفْصَةُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي بِنْتُ يَهُودِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّكِ لَابْنَةُ نَبِيٍّ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِنَّ عَمَّكِ لَنَبِيٌّ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِنَّكِ لَتَحْتَ نَبِيٍّ،‏‏‏‏ فَفِيمَ تَفْخَرُ عَلَيْكِ ؟ ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اتَّقِي اللَّهَ يَا حَفْصَةُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

انس رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ام المؤمنین صفیہ رضی الله عنہا کو یہ بات پہنچی کہ ام المؤمنین حفصہ رضی الله عنہا نے انہیں یہودی کی بیٹی ہونے کا طعنہ دیا ہے، تو وہ رونے لگیں، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کے پاس آئے تو وہ رو رہی تھیں، آپ نے پوچھا: تم کیوں رو رہی ہو؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: حفصہ نے مجھے یہ طعنہ دیا ہے کہ میں یہودی کی بیٹی ہوں، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تو ایک نبی کی بیٹی ہے، تیرا چچا بھی نبی ہے ۱؎ اور تو ایک نبی کے عقد میں ہے، تو وہ کس بات میں تجھ پر فخر کر رہی ہے، پھر آپ نے ( حفصہ سے ) فرمایا: ”حفصہ! اللہ سے ڈر“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن صحیح غریب ہے۔

Narrated 'Aishah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The best of you is the best to his wives, and I am the best of you to my wives, and when your companion dies, leave him alone.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: No one should convey to me anything regarding any of my Companions, for I love that I should go out to them while my breast is at peace. 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was brought some wealth, so the Prophet (ﷺ) distributed it. Then I came across two men that were sitting saying: 'By Allah! Muhammad (ﷺ) did not intend the Face of Allah in his distribution, nor the abode of the Hereafter.' So I spread this when I heard them, and I went to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and I informed him. So his face became red and he said: 'Do not bother me with this, for indeed Musa was afflicted by more than this and he was patient.'

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: No one should convey to me anything regarding anyone.

Narrated Ubayy bin Ka'b: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: Indeed Allah has ordered me to recite the Qur'an to you. So he recited to him: Those who disbelieved were not going to... (98:1) and he recited in it: Indeed the religion with Allah is that which is Hanafiyyah, Muslim, not Judaism, nor Christianity, nor Zoroastrian, whoever does good then it shall not be rejected from him. And he recited to him: If the son of Adam had a valley of wealth he would seek a second, and if he had a second he would seek a third, and nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dirt. And Allah pardons those who repent.

Narrated Ubayy bin Ka'b: Ubayy bin Ka'b that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: If it were not for the Hijrah, I would be a man from the Ansar.

Narrated Shu'bah: from 'Adi bin Thabit, from Al-Bara bin 'Azib, that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ), or - he said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, about the Ansar: 'No one loves them except a believer, and no one hates them except a hypocrite. Whoever loves them, then Allah loves him, and whoever hates them then Allah hates him.' So we said to him: Did you hear this from Al-Bara? He said: He narrated it to me.
