Narrated 'Amr bin Al-'As: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) appointed him as a leader of the army of Dhatis-Salasil. He said: So I went to him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Who is the most beloved to you among the people?' He said: ''Aishah.' I said: 'From the men?' He said: 'Her father.'

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَاللَّفْظُ لِابْنِ يَعْقُوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَعْمَلَهُ عَلَى جَيْشِ ذَاتِ السُّلَاسِلِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَتَيْتُهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَائِشَةُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَبُوهَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

عمرو بن العاص رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں لشکر ذات السلاسل کا امیر مقرر کیا، وہ کہتے ہیں: تو میں آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! لوگوں میں آپ کو سب سے زیادہ محبوب کون ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”عائشہ“، میں نے پوچھا: مردوں میں کون ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ان کے باپ“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Narrated 'Amr bin Al-'As: that he said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): Who is the most beloved of the people to you? He said: 'Aishah. He said: From the men? He said: Her farther.

Narrated 'Ikrimah: After Salat As-Subh, it was said to Ibn 'Abbas that so-and-so - one of the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) - has died, so he prostrated. So it was said to him: 'Do you prostrate at this hour?' So he said: 'Has not the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) [already] said: 'If you see a sign then prostrate?' Then which sign is grater than the passing of (one of) the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ)?'
