Translation

Narrated 'Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her]: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: O 'Aishah! Here is Jibril and he is giving Salam to you. She said: I said: 'And upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah, and His blessings. You see that which we do not.'

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا عَائِشَةُ هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ تَرَى مَا لَا نَرَى. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”عائشہ! یہ جبرائیل ہیں، تمہیں سلام کہہ رہے ہیں، میں نے عرض کیا: اور انہیں بھی میری طرف سے سلام اور اللہ کی رحمتیں اور برکتیں ہوں، آپ وہ دیکھتے ہیں جو ہم نہیں دیکھ پاتے“ ( جیسے جبرائیل کو ) ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Narrated 'Amr bin Al-'As: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) appointed him as a leader of the army of Dhatis-Salasil. He said: So I went to him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Who is the most beloved to you among the people?' He said: ''Aishah.' I said: 'From the men?' He said: 'Her father.'
