Translation

Narrated Al-Bara: A garment of silk was gifted to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) so they began to marvel at its softness, so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Do you marvel at this? Indeed, the handkerchiefs of Sa'd bin Mu'adh in Paradise are better than this.'

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَوْبُ حَرِيرٍ،‏‏‏‏ فَجَعَلُوا يَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ لِينِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ هَذَا،‏‏‏‏ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحْسَنُ مِنْ هَذَا . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

براء رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس کچھ ریشمی کپڑے ہدیہ میں آئے، ان کی نرمی کو دیکھ کر لوگ تعجب کرنے لگے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جنت میں سعد بن معاذ رضی الله عنہ کے رومال اس سے بہتر ہیں“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں انس رضی الله عنہ بھی حدیث مروی ہے۔

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), saying while the funeral of Sa'd bin Mu'adh was in front of them: 'The Throne of Ar-Rahman shook due to it.'

Narrated Anas bin Malik: When the funeral of Sa'd bin Mu'adh was carried, the hypocrites said: 'How light his funeral is.' And this was due to his judgment concerning Banu Quraizah. So this reached the Prophet (ﷺ), and he said: 'Indeed, the angels were carrying him.'

Narrated Anas: Qais bin Sa'd used to be, to the Prophet (ﷺ), in the position of the head of police for a ruler. (One of the narrators) Al-Ansari said: That is: Due to his affairs that he takes charge of.

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to me, not riding a mule nor a Birdhawn (a type of Turkish horse).

Narrated Khabbab: We emigrated with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), seeking the Face of Allah. So our reward is with Allah. Among us were those who died and did not consume any of the rewards (in this life), and among us were those who lived to see its fruits and tend to them. Verily, Musab bin 'Umair died without leaving anything behind but a garment. When they covered his head with it, his feet would become exposed. And when they covered his feet with it, his head will become exposed. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Cover his head and place Al-Idhkir over his feet.
