Translation

Arabic, English and Urdu

Ziyad bin Haqah narrated: Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah les us in Salat. When he prayed two Rak'ah he stood without sitting. Those who were behind him said 'Subhan Allah' and he indicated to them that they should stand. He said the Taslim when he had finished his Salat and he performed two prostrations of As-Sahw, and said the Taslim. He said that Allah's Messenger did this.

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَلَّى بِنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَامَ وَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ فَسَبَّحَ بِهِ مَنْ خَلْفَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ قُومُوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ سَلَّمَ وَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَكَذَا صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

زیاد بن علاقہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہمیں مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی الله عنہ نے نماز پڑھائی، جب دو رکعتیں پڑھ چکے تو ( تشہد میں ) بغیر بیٹھے کھڑے ہو گئے۔ تو جو لوگ ان کے پیچھے تھے انہوں نے سبحان اللہ کہا، تو انہوں نے انہیں اشارہ کیا کہ تم بھی کھڑے ہو جاؤ پھر جب وہ اپنی نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو انہوں نے سلام پھیرا اور سہو کے دو سجدے کئے اور سلام پھیرا، اور کہا: ایسے ہی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کیا تھا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی الله عنہ کے واسطے سے اور بھی سندوں سے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مروی ہے۔

Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Mas'ud narrated from his father (Abdullah bin Mas'ud) that he said: When Allah's Messenger sat for the first two Rak'ah it was as if he was on hot stones. Shu'bah (one of the narrators) said: Then Sa'd's lips moved (saying) something. So I said: 'Until he stood?' He said: 'Until he stood.'

Suhaib narrated: I passed by Allah's Messenger (S) while he was performing Salat, so I said greeted him with Salam, and he returned it by making signals. He said: I do not know except that he said: 'He indicated with his finger.'

Ibn Umar narrated: I said to Bilal: 'How did the Prophet (S) reply to them when they gave him Salams and he was performing Salat?' He said: 'He would motion with his hand.'

Abu Hurairah narrated that the : Prophet (S) said: Yawning is from the Shaitan, so when one of you yawns then let him suppress (it) as much as possible.

Imran bin Husain narrated: I asked Allah's Messenger (S) about the Salat for a man who is sitting. He said: 'Whoever performs Salat while standing then that is more virtuous. And whoever performs Salat while sitting, then he gets half the rewards of the one standing, and whoever performs Salat while lying down, then he gets half the rewards of the one sitting.'
