Anas bin Malik narrated: Allah's Messenger cursed three people: A man who leads people (in Salat) while they dislike him, a woman who spends a night while her husband with her, and a man who hears: 'Hayya Alal Falah (come to success)' then does not respond.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ وَاصِلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الْأَسَدِيُّ، عَنْ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ دَلْهَمٍ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، قَال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثَةً:‏‏‏‏ رَجُلٌ أَمَّ قَوْمًا وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَامْرَأَةٌ بَاتَتْ وَزَوْجُهَا عَلَيْهَا سَاخِطٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَجُلٌ سَمِعَ حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يُجِبْ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَطَلْحَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍ وَأَبِي أُمَامَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ أَنَسٍ لَا يَصِحُّ لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْسَلٌ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ تَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ وَلَيْسَ بِالْحَافِظِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ كَرِهَ قَوْمٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَنْ يَؤُمَّ الرَّجُلُ قَوْمًا وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا كَانَ الْإِمَامُ غَيْرَ ظَالِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّمَا الْإِثْمُ عَلَى مَنْ كَرِهَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وقَالَ أَحْمَدُ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِسْحَاق فِي هَذَا:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا كَرِهَ وَاحِدٌ أَوِ اثْنَانِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بِهِمْ حَتَّى يَكْرَهَهُ أَكْثَرُ الْقَوْمِ.

انس رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تین لوگوں پر لعنت فرمائی ہے: ایک وہ شخص جو لوگوں کی امامت کرے اور لوگ اسے ناپسند کرتے ہوں۔ دوسری وہ عورت جو رات گزارے اور اس کا شوہر اس سے ناراض ہو، تیسرا وہ جو «حي على الفلاح» سنے اور اس کا جواب نہ دے ( یعنی جماعت میں حاضر نہ ہو ) ۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- انس رضی الله عنہ کی یہ حدیث صحیح نہیں ہے کیونکہ حقیقت میں یہ حدیث حسن ( بصریٰ ) سے بغیر کسی واسطے کے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مرسلاً مروی ہے، ۲- محمد بن قاسم کے سلسلہ میں احمد بن حنبل نے کلام کیا ہے، انہوں نے انہیں ضعیف قرار دیا ہے۔ اور یہ کہ وہ حافظ نہیں ہیں ۱؎، ۳- اس باب میں ابن عباس، طلحہ، عبداللہ بن عمرو اور ابوامامہ رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۴- بعض اہل علم کے یہاں یہ مکروہ ہے کہ آدمی لوگوں کی امامت کرے اور وہ اسے ناپسند کرتے ہوں اور جب امام ظالم ( قصوروار ) نہ ہو تو گناہ اسی پر ہو گا جو ناپسند کرے۔ احمد اور اسحاق بن راہویہ کا اس سلسلہ میں یہ کہنا ہے کہ جب ایک یا دو یا تین لوگ ناپسند کریں تو اس کے انہیں نماز پڑھانے میں کوئی حرج نہیں، الا یہ کہ لوگوں کی اکثریت اسے ناپسند کرتی ہو۔

Amr bin Al-Harith Al-Mustaliq said: It used to be said that the people with the worst punishment [on the Day of Judgment] are two: A woman who disobeyed her husband, and a people's Imam whom they dislike.

Abu Umamah narrated that : Allah's Messenger said: There are three whose Salat would not rise up beyond their ears: The runaway slave until he returns, a woman who spends a night while her husband is angry with her, and a people's Imam whom they dislike.

Anas bin Malik narrated: Allah's Messenger fell from a horse and got injured, so he led Salat sitting and we also offered Salat sitting. When he completed the Salat he said: The Imam is appointed to be followed; when he says the Takbir then say the Takbir, when he bows, then bow, and when he raises his head, then raise your heads. When he says: Sami' Allahu liman hamidah (Allah listens to those who praise him) then say: Rabbana wa lakal-hamd. (O our Lord! And all praise is Yours.) and when he prostrates, then prostrate, and when he performs Salat sitting, then pray sitting altogether.'

Aishah narrated: Allah's Messenger performed Salat behind Abu Bakr, during the illness from which he died, and he was sitting.

Ash-Sha'bi narrated: Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah led us in Salat, and he continued after the two Rak'ah, so the people said: 'Subhan Allah' and he said: 'Subhan Allah' to them. When he finished his Salat he said the Taslim then performed two prostrations of As-Sahw while he was sitting. Then he narrated to them that Allah's Messenger did the same with them as he had done.
