Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: “When Allah created Adam, He breathed the soul into him, then he sneezed and said: ‘All praise is due to Allah.’ So he praised Allah by His permission. Then His Lord said to him: ‘May Allah have mercy upon you O Adam. Go to those angels – to that gathering of them sitting – so say: “As-Salamu Alaikas-Salamu, Wa Rahmatullah’ Then he returned to his Lord, He said: ‘This is your greeting and the greeting of your children among each other.’ Then Allah said to him – while His Two Hands were closed – ‘Choose which of them you wish.’ He said: ‘I chose the right My Lord and both of the Hands of my Lord are right, blessed.’ Then He extended it, and there was Adam and his offspring in it.’ So he said: ‘What are these O my Lord?’ He said: ‘These are your offspring?’ Each one of them had his age written between his eyes. But among them there was a man who was the most illuminating of them – or among the most illuminated of them. He said: ‘O Lord! Who is this?’ He said: ‘This is your son Dawud, I wrote forty years for him.’ He said: ‘O Lord! Add to his age.’ He said: ‘That is what I have written for him.’ He said: ‘O Lord! Give him sixty of my years.’ He said: ‘So you shall have it.’” He said: “Then, he resided in Paradise as long as Allah willed, then he was cast from it, so Adam was counting for himself.” He said: “So the Angel of death came to him, and Adam said to him: ‘You are hasty, one-thousand years were written for me.’ He said: ‘Of course! But you gave sixty years to your son Dawud.’ So he rejected, and his offspring rejected, and he forgot, and his offspring forgot.” He said: “So ever since that day, what is written and witnessed has been decreed.”

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمَّا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ آدَمَ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ الرُّوحَ عَطَسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ بِإِذْنِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ رَبُّهُ:‏‏‏‏ يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ يَا آدَمُ اذْهَبْ إِلَى أُولَئِكَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ إِلَى مَلَإٍ مِنْهُمْ جُلُوسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُلْ:‏‏‏‏ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ هَذِهِ تَحِيَّتُكَ وَتَحِيَّةُ بَنِيكَ بَيْنَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ اللَّهُ لَهُ وَيَدَاهُ مَقْبُوضَتَانِ:‏‏‏‏ اخْتَرْ أَيَّهُمَا شِئْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اخْتَرْتُ يَمِينَ رَبِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكِلْتَا يَدَيْ رَبِّي يَمِينٌ مُبَارَكَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ بَسَطَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا فِيهَا آدَمُ وَذُرِّيَّتُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيْ رَبِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَا هَؤُلَاءِ ؟ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَؤُلَاءِ ذُرِّيَّتُكَ فَإِذَا كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ مَكْتُوبٌ عُمْرُهُ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا فِيهِمْ رَجُلٌ أَضْوَؤُهُمْ أَوْ مِنْ أَضْوَئِهِمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَبِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا ابْنُكَ دَاوُدُ قَدْ كَتَبْتُ لَهُ عُمْرَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَبِّ زِدْهُ فِي عُمْرِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ذَاكَ الَّذِي كَتَبْتُ لَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيْ رَبِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنِّي قَدْ جَعَلْتُ لَهُ مِنْ عُمْرِي سِتِّينَ سَنَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْتَ وَذَاكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ أُسْكِنَ الْجَنَّةَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أُهْبِطَ مِنْهَا فَكَانَ آدَمُ يَعُدُّ لِنَفْسِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَتَاهُ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ آدَمُ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ عَجَّلْتَ قَدْ كُتِبَ لِي أَلْفُ سَنَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بَلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَكِنَّكَ جَعَلْتَ لِابْنِكِ دَاوُدَ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجَحَدَ فَجَحَدَتْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَنَسِيَ فَنَسِيَتْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَمِنْ يَوْمِئِذٍ أُمِرَ بِالْكِتَابِ وَالشُّهُودِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مِنْ رِوَايَةِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب اللہ نے آدم علیہ السلام کو پیدا کیا اور ان میں روح پھونک دی، تو ان کو چھینک آئی، انہوں نے «الحمد لله» کہنا چاہا چنانچہ اللہ کی اجازت سے «الحمد لله» کہا، ( تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے سزاوار ہیں ) پھر ان سے ان کے رب نے کہا: اللہ تم پر رحم فرمائے، اے آدم! ان فرشتوں کی بیٹھی ہوئی جماعت و گروہ کے پاس جاؤ اور ان سے السلام علیکم کہو، انہوں نے جا کر السلام علیکم کیا، فرشتوں نے جواب دیا، وعلیک السلام ورحمۃ اللہ، پھر وہ اپنے رب کے پاس لوٹ آئے، اللہ نے فرمایا: یہ تمہارا اور تمہاری اولاد کا آپس میں طریقہ سلام و دعا ہے، پھر اللہ نے اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں کی مٹھیاں بند کر کے آدم سے کہا: ان میں سے جسے چاہو پسند کر لو، وہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے اللہ کے دایاں ہاتھ کو پسند کیا، اور حقیقت یہ ہے کہ میرے رب کے دونوں ہی ہاتھ داہنے ہاتھ ہیں اور برکت والے ہیں، پھر اس نے مٹھی کھولی تو اس میں آدم اور آدم کی ذریت تھی، آدم علیہ السلام نے پوچھا: اے میرے رب یہ کون لوگ ہیں؟ کہا یہ سب تیری اولاد ہیں اور ہر ایک کی عمر اس کی دونوں آنکھوں کے بیچ میں لکھی ہوئی ہے، ان میں ایک سب سے زیادہ روشن چہرہ والا تھا، آدم علیہ السلام نے پوچھا: اے میرے رب یہ کون ہے؟ کہا یہ تمہارا بیٹا داود ہے، میں نے اس کی عمر چالیس سال لکھ دی ہے، آدم علیہ السلام نے کہا: اے میرے رب! اس کی عمر بڑھا دیجئیے، اللہ نے کہا: یہ عمر تو اس کی لکھی جا چکی ہے، آدم علیہ السلام نے کہا: اے میرے رب! میں اپنی عمر میں سے ساٹھ سال اسے دیئے دیتا ہوں، اللہ نے کہا: تم اور وہ جانو؟ چلو خیر، پھر آدم علیہ السلام جنت میں رہے جب تک کہ اللہ کو منظور ہوا، پھر آدم علیہ السلام جنت سے نکال باہر کر دیئے گئے، آدم علیہ السلام اپنی زندگی کے دن گنا کرتے تھے، ملک الموت ان کے پاس آئے تو آدم علیہ السلام نے ان سے کہا: آپ تو جلدی آ گئے میری عمر تو ہزار برس لکھی گئی ہے، ملک الموت نے کہا: ہاں ( بات تو صحیح ہے ) لیکن آپ نے تو اپنی زندگی کے ساٹھ سال اپنے بیٹے داود کو دے دیے تھے، تو انہوں نے انکار کر دیا آدم علیہ السلام کے اسی انکار کا نتیجہ اور اثر ہے کہ ان کی اولاد بھی انکار کرنے لگ گئی، آدم علیہ السلام بھول گئے، ان کی اولاد بھی بھولنے لگ گئی، اسی دن سے حکم دے دیا گیا ساری باتیں لکھ لی جایا کریں اور گواہ بنا لیے جایا کریں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث کئی اور سندوں سے ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی ہے، اور ابوہریرہ کی اس حدیث کو زید بن اسلم نے بطریق: «أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» روایت کیا ہے۔

Anas bin Malik narrated that: The Prophet said: “When Allah created the earth, it started shaking. So He created the mountains, and said to them: ‘Upon it’ so it began to settle. The angels were amazed at the strength of the mountains, so they said: ‘O Lord! Is there among your creatures one who is more severe than the mountains?’ He said: ‘Yes. Iron.’ They said: ‘O Lord! Then is there anything among your creatures that is more severe than that iron?’ He said: ‘Yes. Fire.’ S they said: ‘O Lord! Is there anything among your creatures that is more severe than fire?’ He said: ‘Yes. Water.’ They said: ‘O Lord! Is there anything among your creatures that is more severe than water?’ He said: ‘Yes. Wind.’ They said: ‘O Lord! Is there anything among your creatures more severe than wind?’ He said: ‘Yes. The son of Adam. He gives charity with his right hands, while hiding it from his left.’”

Abu Hurairah narrated that: The Prophet said: “There is nothing more honorable with Allah [Most High] than supplication.”

An-Nu`man bin Bashir narrated that: The Prophet said: “The supplication, is worship.” Then he recited: And Your Lord said: “Call upon me, I will respond to you. Verily, those who scorn My worship, they will surely enter Hell humiliated.

Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that : the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Indeed, he who does not ask Allah, he gets angry with him.”

Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (ra) said: “We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a military expedition. When we returned, we overlooked Al-Madinah, and the people were pronouncing the Takbīr, and they raised their voices with it. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Verily, your Lord is not deaf nor absent, He is between you and between the heads of your mounts.’ Then he said: ‘O `Abdullah bin Qais, should I not inform you of a treasure from the treasures of Paradise: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh (There is no might or power except by Allah).’”
