Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

An-Nu`man bin Bashir narrated that: The Prophet said: “The supplication, is worship.” Then he recited: And Your Lord said: “Call upon me, I will respond to you. Verily, those who scorn My worship, they will surely enter Hell humiliated.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ، عَنْ يُسَيْعٍ، عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الدُّعَاءُ هُوَ الْعِبَادَةُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَرَأَ:‏‏‏‏ وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ سورة غافر آية 60 . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ مَنْصُورٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْأَعْمَشُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ذَرٍّ وَلَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ ذَرٍّ هُوَ ذَرُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ثِقَةٌ وَالِدُ عُمَرَ بْنِ ذَرٍّ.

نعمان بن بشیر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”دعا ہی عبادت ہے، پھر آپ نے آیت: «وقال ربكم ادعوني أستجب لكم إن الذين يستكبرون عن عبادتي سيدخلون جهنم داخرين» ”تمہارا رب فرماتا ہے، تم مجھے پکارو، میں تمہاری پکار ( دعا ) کو قبول کروں گا، جو لوگ مجھ سے مانگنے سے گھمنڈ کرتے ہیں، وہ جہنم میں ذلیل و خوار ہو کر داخل ہوں گے“ ( المومن: ۶ ) پڑھی“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- منصور نے یہ حدیث اعمش سے اور اعمش نے ذر سے روایت کی ہے، ہم اسے صرف ذر کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں، یہ ذر بن عبداللہ ہمدانی ہیں ثقہ ہیں، عمر بن ذر کے والد ہیں۔

Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that : the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Indeed, he who does not ask Allah, he gets angry with him.”

Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (ra) said: “We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a military expedition. When we returned, we overlooked Al-Madinah, and the people were pronouncing the Takbīr, and they raised their voices with it. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Verily, your Lord is not deaf nor absent, He is between you and between the heads of your mounts.’ Then he said: ‘O `Abdullah bin Qais, should I not inform you of a treasure from the treasures of Paradise: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh (There is no might or power except by Allah).’”

`Abdullah bin Busr (ra) narrated that: A man said: “O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), indeed, the legislated acts of Islam have become too much for me, so inform me of a thing that I should stick to.” He (ﷺ) said: “Let not your tongue cease to be moist with the remembrance of Allah.”

Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri narrated that: The Messenger of Allah was asked: “Which of the worshippers is superior in rank with Allah on the Day of Judgment?” He said: “Those men who remember Allah much [and women].” He said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! What about the fighter in the cause of Allah?’ He said: ‘If he were to strike with his sword among the disbelievers and the idolater, until it breaks, and he (or it) is dyed with blood, those who remember Allah much would still be superior in rank.”

Abu Ad-Darda [may Allah be pleased with him] narrated that : the Prophet said: “Should I not inform you of the best of your deed, and the purest of them with your Master, and the highest of them in your ranks, and what is better for you than spending gold and silver, and better for you than meeting your enemy and striking their necks, and they strike your necks?” They said: “Of course.” He said, “The remembrance of Allah [Most High].” [Then] Mu’adh bin Jabal [may Allah be pleased with him] said: “There is nothing that brings more salvation from the punishment of Allah than the remembrance of Allah.”

Al-Agharr Abu Muslim narrated that: He bears witness, from Abu Hurairah and Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri, that they bear witness, from the Messenger of Allah, that he said: “There is no group that remembers Allah, except that the angels encompass them, mercy covers them, and tranquility descends upon them: and Allah remembers (mentions) them before those who are with Him.”
