Anas bin Malik narrated that: The Prophet said: “When Allah created the earth, it started shaking. So He created the mountains, and said to them: ‘Upon it’ so it began to settle. The angels were amazed at the strength of the mountains, so they said: ‘O Lord! Is there among your creatures one who is more severe than the mountains?’ He said: ‘Yes. Iron.’ They said: ‘O Lord! Then is there anything among your creatures that is more severe than that iron?’ He said: ‘Yes. Fire.’ S they said: ‘O Lord! Is there anything among your creatures that is more severe than fire?’ He said: ‘Yes. Water.’ They said: ‘O Lord! Is there anything among your creatures that is more severe than water?’ He said: ‘Yes. Wind.’ They said: ‘O Lord! Is there anything among your creatures more severe than wind?’ He said: ‘Yes. The son of Adam. He gives charity with his right hands, while hiding it from his left.’”

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمَّا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ الْأَرْضَ جَعَلَتْ تَمِيدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَخَلَقَ الْجِبَالَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَعَادَ بِهَا عَلَيْهَا فَاسْتَقَرَّتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَعَجِبَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ مِنْ شِدَّةِ الْجِبَالِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَبِّ هَلْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ شَيْءٌ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏الْحَدِيدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَبِّ فَهَلْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ شَيْءٌ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْحَدِيدِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏النَّارُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَبِّ فَهَلْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ شَيْءٌ أَشَدُّ مِنَ النَّارِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏الْمَاءُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَبِّ فَهَلْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ شَيْءٌ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْمَاءِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏الرِّيحُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَبِّ فَهَلْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ شَيْءٌ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الرِّيحِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ابْنُ آدَمَ تَصَدَّقَ بِصَدَقَةٍ بِيَمِينِهِ يُخْفِيهَا مِنْ شِمَالِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مَرْفُوعًا إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب اللہ نے زمین بنائی تو وہ ہلنے لگی چنانچہ اللہ نے پہاڑ بنائے اور ان سے کہا: اسے تھامے رہو، تو زمین ٹھہر گئی، ( اس کا ہلنا و جھکنا بند ہو گیا ) فرشتوں کو پہاڑوں کی سختی و مضبوطی دیکھ کر بڑی حیرت ہوئی، انہوں نے کہا: اے میرے رب! کیا آپ کی مخلوق میں پہاڑ سے بھی زیادہ ٹھوس کوئی چیز ہے؟ اللہ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں، لوہا ہے“، انہوں نے کہا: اے ہمارے رب! کیا آپ کی مخلوق میں لوہے سے بھی طاقتور کوئی چیز ہے؟ اللہ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں، آگ ہے“، انہوں نے کہا: اے میرے رب! کیا آپ کی مخلوق میں آگ سے بھی زیادہ طاقتور کوئی چیز ہے؟ اللہ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں، پانی ہے“، انہوں نے کہا: اے ہمارے رب! کیا آپ کی مخلوق میں پانی سے بھی زیادہ طاقتور کوئی چیز ہے؟ اللہ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں، ہوا ہے“، انہوں نے عرض کیا: اے ہمارے رب! کیا آپ کی مخلوق میں ہوا سے بھی زیادہ طاقتور کوئی مخلوق ہے۔ اللہ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں، ابن آدم ہے جو اپنے داہنے سے اس طرح صدقہ دیتا کہ اس کے بائیں ہاتھ کو خبر نہیں ہونے پاتی ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث غریب ہے، اسے ہم صرف اسی سند سے مرفوع جانتے ہیں۔

Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that : the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Indeed, he who does not ask Allah, he gets angry with him.”

Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (ra) said: “We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a military expedition. When we returned, we overlooked Al-Madinah, and the people were pronouncing the Takbīr, and they raised their voices with it. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Verily, your Lord is not deaf nor absent, He is between you and between the heads of your mounts.’ Then he said: ‘O `Abdullah bin Qais, should I not inform you of a treasure from the treasures of Paradise: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh (There is no might or power except by Allah).’”

`Abdullah bin Busr (ra) narrated that: A man said: “O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), indeed, the legislated acts of Islam have become too much for me, so inform me of a thing that I should stick to.” He (ﷺ) said: “Let not your tongue cease to be moist with the remembrance of Allah.”
