Ibn Abbas said: “When the Quran was being revealed to the Messenger of Allah, he would move his tongue in attempt to memorize it. So Allah, Blessed is He and Most High, revealed: Move not your tongue concerning it to make haste therewith.” He said: “So he would move his two lips.” And Sufyan (a sub-narrator) would move his two lips.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ يُحَرِّكُ بِهِ لِسَانَهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَحْفَظَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ:‏‏‏‏ لا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِ سورة القيامة آية 16، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَكَانَ يُحَرِّكُ بِهِ شَفَتَيْهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَرَّكَ سُفْيَانُ شَفَتَيْهِ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَانَ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ يُحْسِنُ الثَّنَاءَ عَلَى مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ خَيْرًا.
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر قرآن نازل ہوتا تو جلدی جلدی زبان چلانے ( دہرانے ) لگتے تاکہ اسے یاد و محفوظ کر لیں، اس پر اللہ نے آیت «لا تحرك به لسانك لتعجل به» ”اے نبی! ) آپ قرآن کو جلدی یاد کرنے کے لیے اپنی زبان کو حرکت نہ دیں“ ( القیامۃ: ۱۶ ) ، نازل ہوئی۔ ( راوی ) اپنے دونوں ہونٹ ہلاتے تھے، ( ان کے شاگرد ) سفیان نے بھی اپنے ہونٹ ہلا کر دکھائے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- علی بن مدینی کہتے ہیں کہ یحییٰ بن سعید القطان نے کہا کہ سفیان ثوری موسیٰ بن ابی عائشہ کو اچھا سمجھتے تھے۔

Thuwair narrated: “I heard Ibn Umar say: ‘The Messenger of Allah said, “Indeed the least of the people of Paradise in rank, is the one who shall look at his gardens, his wives, his servants, and his beds from the distance of a thousand years, and the noblest of them with Allah is the one who shall look at His Face morning and night.” Then the Messenger of Allah recited: Some faces on that day shall be radiant. They shall be looked at their Lord.

Aishah narrated: “He frowned and turned away” was revealed about Ibn Umm Maktum the blind man. He came to the Messenger of Allah saying: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Guide me.’ At that time, there was a revered man from the idolaters with the Messenger of Allah. So the Messenger of Allah turned away from him and faced the other man, saying: ‘Do you think that there is something wrong with what I am saying?’ He said: ‘No.’ So it was about that that it was revealed.”

Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Messenger of Allah said: “Verily, when the slave (of Allah) commits a sin, a black spot appears on his heart. When he refrains from it, seeks forgiveness and repents, his heart is polished clean. But if he returns, it increases until it covers his entire heart. And that is the ‘Ran’ which Allah mentioned: Nay, but on their hearts is the Ran which they used to earn.
