Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: He who recites the Qur'an in less than three (days), he does not understand it.

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ، حَدثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلًّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمْ يَفْقَهْ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ ثَلاثٍ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عَيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اس نے قرآن سمجھا ہی نہیں جس نے تین دن سے کم مدت میں قرآن ختم کر ڈالا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Whoever says (something) about the Qur'an without knowledge, then let him take his seat in the Fire.
