Translation

Ibn 'Abbas narrated that: the Prophet said: Whoever takes in an orphan among the Muslims to raise, to feed him and give him drink, Allah admits him into Paradise without a doubt, unless he has done a sin for which he is not forgiven.

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الطَّالَقَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَنَشٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ قَبَضَ يَتِيمًا بَيْنِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلَى طَعَامِهِ وَشَرَابِهِ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ الْبَتَّةَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَعْمَلَ ذَنْبًا لَا يُغْفَرُ لَهُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ مُرَّةَ الْفِهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي أُمَامَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَحَنَشٌ هُوَ حُسَيْنُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ وَهُوَ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرَّحَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ حَنَشٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْحَدِيثِ.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جو شخص کسی مسلمان یتیم کو اپنے ساتھ رکھ کر انہیں کھلائے پلائے، تو بلاشبہ اللہ تعالیٰ اسے جنت میں داخل کرے گا، سوائے اس کے کہ وہ ایسا گناہ ( شرک ) کرے جو مغفرت کے قابل نہ ہو“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- راوی حنش کا نام حسین بن قیس ہے، کنیت ابوعلی رحبی ہے، سلیمان تیمی کہتے ہیں: یہ محدثین کے نزدیک ضعیف ہیں، ۲- اس باب میں مرہ فہری، ابوہریرہ، ابوامامہ اور سہل بن سعد رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

Sahl bin Sa'd narrated that: the Messenger of Allah said: I and the sponsor of an orphan shall be in Paradise like these two. And he indicaed with his fingers, meaning his index and his middle finger

Anas bin Malik narrated that: An older man came to talk to the Prophet, and the people were hesitant to make room for him. The Prophet said: ;He is not one of us who does not have mercy on our young and does not respect our elders.
