Ibn Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: He is not one of us who does not have mercy upon our young, respect our elders, and command good and forbid evil.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيُوَقِّرْ كَبِيرَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَنْهَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَدِيثُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ أَيْضًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ:‏‏‏‏ مَعْنَى قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ مِنَّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْسَ مِنْ سُنَّتِنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَيْسَ مِنْ أَدَبِنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ يُنْكِرُ هَذَا التَّفْسِيرَ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْسَ مِنَّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْسَ مِلَّتِنَا.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”وہ شخص ہم میں سے نہیں ہے جو ہمارے چھوٹوں پر مہربانی نہ کرے اور ہمارے بڑوں کی عزت نہ کرے، معروف ( بھلی باتوں ) کا حکم نہ دے اور منکر ( بری باتوں ) سے منع نہ کرے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ۲- محمد بن اسحاق کی عمرو بن شعیب کے واسطہ سے مروی حدیث صحیح ہے، ۳- عبداللہ بن عمرو سے یہ حدیث دوسری سندوں سے بھی آئی ہے، ۴- بعض اہل علم کہتے ہیں: نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اس قول «ليس منا» کا مفہوم یہ ہے «ليس من سنتنا ليس من أدبنا» یعنی وہ ہمارے طور طریقہ پر نہیں ہے، ۵- علی بن مدینی کہتے ہیں: یحییٰ بن سعید نے کہا: سفیان ثوری اس تفسیر کی تردید کرتے تھے اور اس کا مفہوم یہ بیان کرتے تھے کہ «ليس منا» سے مراد «ليس من ملتنا» ہے، یعنی وہ ہماری ملت کا نہیں ہے۔

Jarir bin Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: Whoever does not show mercy to the people, Allah will not show mercy to him.

Abdullah bin 'Amr narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: The merciful are shown mercy by Ar-Rahman. Be merciful on the earth, and you will be shown mercy from Who is above the heavens. The womb is named after Ar-Rahman, so whoever connects it, Allah connects him, and whoever severs it, Allah severs him.

Jarir bin 'Abdullah narrated : I pledged to the Prophet to establish the Salat, give the Zakat, and to give sincere advice to every Muslim.

Abu Hurairah narrated that: the Messenger of Allah said: The religion is An-Nasihah three times. They said: O Messenger of Allah! For Whom? He said : To Allah , His books, the A'immah of the Muslims, and their average people.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: : The Muslim is the brother to the Muslim, he does not cheat him, lie to him, nor deceive him. All of the Muslim is unlawful to another Muslim: His Honor, his wealth, and his blood. At-taqwa is here. It is enough evil for a man that he belittle his brother Muslim.
