Abu Hurairah narrated that The Messenger of Allah said: “A woman is not to travel the distance of a day and a night unless she is accompanied by someone who is a Mahram.”
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تُسَافِرُ امْرَأَةٌ مَسِيرَةَ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ إِلَّا وَمَعَهَا ذُو مَحْرَمٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کوئی عورت ایک دن اور ایک رات کی مسافت کا سفر محرم کے بغیر نہ کرے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Indeed he divorced his wife while she was menstruating, so Umar asked the Prophet about that, and he ordered him to take her back.' He said: I said: And that divorce is counted? He said: And that divorce is counted? He said: 'What else would you think if he was helpless and foolish?'
