Uqbah bin Amir narrated that The Messenger of Allah said: “Beware of entering upon women.” So a man from the Ansar said: ‘”O Messenger of Allah! What do you think about Hamu? So he said: “The Hamu is death.”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ ّرَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالدُّخُولَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَفَرَأَيْتَ الْحَمْوَ ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْحَمْوُ الْمَوْتُ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنَّمَا مَعْنَى كَرَاهِيَةِ الدُّخُولِ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ عَلَى نَحْوِ مَا رُوِيَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يَخْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بِامْرَأَةٍ إِلَّا كَانَ ثَالِثَهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ الْحَمْوُ يُقَالُ:‏‏‏‏ هُوَ أَخُو الزَّوْجِ كَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَ لَهُ أَنْ يَخْلُوَ بِهَا.

عقبہ بن عامر رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”عورتوں کے پاس خلوت ( تنہائی ) میں آنے سے بچو“، اس پر انصار کے ایک شخص نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! دیور ( شوہر کے بھائی ) کے بارے میں کیا خیال ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”دیور موت ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- عقبہ بن عامر رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں عمر، جابر اور عمرو بن العاص رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- عورتوں کے پاس خلوت ( تنہائی ) میں آنے کی حرمت کا مطلب وہی ہے جو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مروی ہے کہ آپ نے فرمایا: ”کوئی شخص کسی عورت کے ساتھ خلوت ( تنہائی ) میں ہوتا ہے تو اس کا تیسرا شیطان ہوتا ہے“، ۴- «حمو» شوہر کے بھائی یعنی دیور کو کہتے ہیں، گویا آپ نے دیور کے بھاوج کے ساتھ تنہائی میں ہونے کو حرام قرار دیا ہے۔

Jabir narrated that The Prophet said: “Do not enter upon Al-Mughibar (the women whose husband are absent), for indeed the Shaitan flows through one of you as the blood flows.” We said: “And you?” He said: “And me, but Allah helped me over him, so I am safe.”

Abdullah narrated that The Prophet said: “The woman is Awrah, so when she goes out, the Shaitan seeks to tempt her.”

Mu’adh bin Jabal narrated that The Prophet said: “No woman annoys her husband in the world except that his wife among the Al-Huril-Ain said: ‘Do not annoy him, may Allah destroy you, he is only like a guest with, soon he will part from you for us.’”

Yunus bin Jubair said: I asked Ibn Umar about a man who divorced his wife while she was menstruating. So he said: 'Don't you know Abdullah bin Umar?' Indeed he divorced his wife while she was menstruating, so Umar asked the Prophet about that, and he ordered him to take her back.' He said: I said: And that divorce is counted? He said: And that divorce is counted? He said: 'What else would you think if he was helpless and foolish?'

Salim narrated that: His father divorced his wife during her menses, so Umar asked the Prophet about that and he said: Tell him to take her back, then let him divorce her while she is pure or pregnant.

Abdullah bin Yazid bin Rukanah narrated from his father, from his grandfather who said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I irrevocably divorced my wife.' So he said: 'What did you intend by that?' I said: 'One (divorce).' He said: '(Do you swear) By Allah?' I said: 'By Allah.' He said: 'Then it is as you intended.'
