It was narrated that Aswad said: “ ‘Abdullah (bin Mas’ud) said: ‘None of you should apportion within himself a part (of his prayer) thinking that it is a right of Allah upon him that he must only turn to his right to leave after finishing the prayer. I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and most of the time he turned to his left.’”
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُمَارَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَال، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يَجْعَلَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ لِلشَّيْطَانِ فِي نَفْسِهِ جُزْءًا يَرَى أَنَّ حَقًّا لِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ لَا يَنْصَرِفَ إِلَّا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْثَرُ انْصِرَافِهِ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ .
عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   تم میں سے کوئی اپنی ذات میں شیطان کے لیے حصہ مقرر نہ کرے، وہ یہ سمجھے کہ اس پر اللہ کا یہ حق ہے کہ نماز کے بعد وہ صرف اپنے دائیں جانب سے پھرے، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ آپ اکثر بائیں جانب سے مڑتے تھے ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Abu Malih said: “I went out on a rainy night (for congregational prayer), and when I came back I asked for the door to be opened. My father said: ‘Who is this?’ I said: ‘Abu Malih.’ He said: ‘We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) at Hudaybiyah and it rained a little, such that the soles of our sandals did not get wet. The announcer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called out: ‘Perform your prayer at your camps.’”
