It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Harith bin Nawfal that Ibn ‘Abbas commanded the Mu’adh-dhin to call the Adhan one Friday, which was a rainy day. Are you telling me that I should bring the people out of their houses and make them come to me wading through the mud up to their knees?”
