It was narrated from Samurah bin Jundab that : the Prophet (ﷺ) said: (There are) four that are the best of words, and it does not matter with which you begin: Subhan-Allah, wal-Hamdu-Lillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wa Allahu Akbar (Glory is to Allah, praise is to Allah, none has the right to be worshiped but Allah and Allah is the Most Great).
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ حَفْصُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْهِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَرْبَعٌ أَفْضَلُ الْكَلَامِ لَا يَضُرُّكَ بِأَيِّهِنَّ بَدَأْتَ:‏‏‏‏ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ .
سمرہ بن جندب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: چار کلمے تمام کلمات سے بہتر ہیں اور جس سے بھی تم شروع کرو تمہیں کوئی نقصان نہیں، وہ یہ ہیں «سبحان الله والحمد لله ولا إله إلا الله والله أكبر» اللہ کی ذات پاک ہے، ہر سم کی حمد و ثناء اللہ ہی کو سزاوار ہے، اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، اور اللہ بہت بڑا ہے ۱؎۔

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that : the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Whoever says: Subhan Allahi wa bi hamdihi (Glory and praise is to Allah) one hundred times, his sins will be forgiven even if they were like the foam of the sea.'

It was narrated that Abu Darda' said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: 'You should recite Subhan-Allah, wal-Hamdu-Lillah, wa la ilahah illallah, wa Allahu Akbar (Glory is to Allah, praise is to Allah, none has the right to be worshiped but Allah, and Allah is the Most Great), for it sheds sins like the tree sheds its leaves.'
