It was narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Prophet(ﷺ) said: In some poetry there is wisdom.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ ّالنَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ كَانَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ مِنَ الشِّعْرِ حِكَمًا .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرمایا کرتے تھے: بعض اشعار میں حکمت و دانائی کی باتیں ہوتی ہیں ۔

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: The truest of wods spoken by the poet are the words of Labid: Everything except Allah is false.' And Abu Umayyah bin Abu Salt nearly accepted Islam.
