It was narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: Whoever learns about the stars, he learns a branch of magic; the more he learns (of the former) the more he learns (of the latter).
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنِ اقْتَبَسَ عِلْمًا مِنَ النُّجُومِ،‏‏‏‏ اقْتَبَسَ شُعْبَةً مِنَ السِّحْرِ زَادَ مَا زَادَ .
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس نے علم نجوم میں سے کچھ حاصل کیا، اس نے سحر ( جادو ) کا ایک حصہ حاصل کر لیا، اب جتنا زیادہ حاصل کرے گا گویا اتنا ہی زیادہ جادو حاصل کیا ۔

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: Do not curse the wind, for it is from the mercy of Allah, bringing Rahmah (i.e., rain and breezes), or destruction. But ask Allah for its goodness, and seek refuge with Allah from its evil.
