Translation

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “Jibril (as) promised the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) that he would come to him at a certain hour, but he was late. The Prophet (ﷺ) went out and there was Jibril standing at the door. He said: ‘What kept you from entering?’ He said: ‘There is a dog in the house, and we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image.’”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ وَاعَدَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فِي سَاعَةٍ يَأْتِيهِ فِيهَا فَرَاثَ عَلَيْهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِجِبْرِيلَ قَائِمٌ عَلَى الْبَابِ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ فِي الْبَيْتِ كَلْبًا،‏‏‏‏ وَإِنَّا لَا نَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ وَلَا صُورَةٌ.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس ایک ایسے وقت میں آنے کا وعدہ کیا جس میں وہ آیا کرتے تھے، لیکن آنے میں دیر کی تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باہر نکلے، دیکھا تو جبرائیل علیہ السلام دروازے پر کھڑے ہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا: آپ کو اندر آنے سے کس چیز نے باز رکھا؟ فرمایا: گھر میں کتا ہے، اور ہم لوگ ایسے گھر میں داخل نہیں ہوتے جہاں کتے اور تصویریں ہوں ۔

It was narrated from Abu Umamah that a woman came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him that her husband was away on some military campaign. She asked him for permission to make an image of a palm tree in her house, and he did not let her, or he forbade her.

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “I covered a small room closet of mine, meaning, from the inside, with a curtain on which there were images. When the Prophet (ﷺ) came, he tore it down, so I made two pillows from it, and I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) reclining on one of them.”

Ibn Salamah As-Sulami narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: I enjoin each one to honor his mother,I enjoin each one to honor his mother,I enjoin each one to honor his mother(three times), I enjoin each one to honor his guardian who is taking care of him, even if he is causing him some annoyance.
