Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade two kinds of dress. Those two types of dress are Ishtimalus- Samma’* and Ihtiba’ in a single garment, with no part of it upon his private part.**

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ لِبْسَتَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَّا اللِّبْسَتَانِ:‏‏‏‏ فَاشْتِمَالُ الصَّمَّاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالِاحْتِبَاءُ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ لَيْسَ عَلَى فَرْجِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ .

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دو طرح کے پہناوے سے منع فرمایا ہے، ایک «اشتمال صماء» ۱؎ سے، دوسرے ایک کپڑے میں «احتباء» ۲؎ سے کہ اس کی شرمگاہ پر کچھ نہ ہو

It was narrated from Abu Burdah that his father said to him: “O my son, if only you could have seen us when we were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), when rain fell on us; you would have thought that we smelled like sheep.”

It was narrated that ‘Ubadah bin Samit said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out to us one day, wearing a Roman cloak of wool with narrow sleeves. He led us in prayer wearing that, and nothing else.”

It was narrated from Salman Farisi that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed ablution, then he turned his woolen cloak that he was wearing inside out and wiped his face with it.
