Translation

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade two kinds of dress: Ishtimalus-Samma’ and Ihtiba’ in one garment, when you are exposing your private part to the sky.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْعَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ لِبْسَتَيْنِ:‏‏‏‏ اشْتِمَالِ الصَّمَّاءِ،‏‏‏‏ وَالِاحْتِبَاءِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْتَ مُفْضٍ فَرْجَكَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ .

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دو طرح کے پہناوے سے منع فرمایا: «اشتمال صماء» سے، اور ایک کپڑے میں«احتباء» سے، کہ تم اپنی شرمگاہ کو آسمان کی طرف کھولے رہو۔

It was narrated from Abu Burdah that his father said to him: “O my son, if only you could have seen us when we were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), when rain fell on us; you would have thought that we smelled like sheep.”
