It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah passed by two new graves, and he said: 'They are being punished, but they are not being punished for anything major. One of them was heedless about preventing urine from getting on his clothes, and the other used to walk about spreading malicious gossip.'

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَوَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَبْرَيْنِ جَدِيدَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّهُمَا لَيُعَذَّبَانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَا يُعَذَّبَانِ فِي كَبِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَمَّا أَحَدُهُمَا فَكَانَ لَا يَسْتَنْزِهُ مِنْ بَوْلِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَكَانَ يَمْشِي بِالنَّمِيمَةِ .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا گزر دو نئی قبروں کے پاس سے ہوا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ان دونوں کو عذاب دیا جا رہا ہے، اور یہ عذاب کسی بڑے گناہ کی وجہ سے نہیں ہو رہا ہے ( کہ جس سے بچنا مشکل تھا ) ، ایک شخص تو پیشاب ( کی چھینٹوں ) سے نہیں بچتا تھا، اور دوسرا غیبت ( چغلی ) کیا کرتا تھا

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Most of the torment of the grave is because of urine.'

Bahr bin Marrar narrated that his grandfather Abu Bakrah said: The Messenger of Allah passed by two graves, and he said: 'They are being punished but they are not being punished for anything major. One of them is being punished because of urine, and the other is being punished because of backbiting.'

It was narrated that Muhajir bin Qunfudh bin (Umair) bin Jud'an said: I came to the Prophet when he was performing ablution and greeted him with the Salam, but he did not return (the greeting). When he had finished his ablution he said: 'Nothing prevented me from returning your greeting but the fact that I need to have ablution.' (Da'if) Another chain with similar wording.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: A man passed by the Prophet while he was urinating, and greeted him with the Salam, but he did not return the greeting. While he finished, he struck the ground with his palms and did dry ablution (Tayammum), then he returned the greeting.
