It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to cover our vessels, tie up our water skins and turn over our vessels.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَيَانٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ بِتَغْطِيَةِ الْإِنَاءِ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِيكَاءِ السِّقَاءِ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِكْفَاءِ الْإِنَاءِ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں برتن ڈھانکنے، مشک کا منہ بند کر دینے، اور برتن کو الٹ کر رکھنے کا حکم دیا ہے۔

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “I used to prepare three covered vessels for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) at night: A vessel for his water for purification, a vessel for his tooth stick and a vessel for his drink.”

It was narrated from Umm Salamah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The one who drinks from a silver vessel is swallowing Hell-fire into his belly.”
