Translation

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that: A man came from Najran to the Messenger of Allah [SAW]. He was wearing a gold ring, and the Messenger of Allah [SAW] turned away from him, and said: You have come to me with a coal of fire on your hand.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أَبَا النَّجِيبِ حَدَّثَهُ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَدِمَ مِنْ نَجْرَانَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهِ خَاتَمٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّكَ جِئْتَنِي وَفِي يَدِكَ جَمْرَةٌ مِنْ نَارٍ .

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نجران سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا، وہ سونے کی انگوٹھی پہنے ہوئے تھا، آپ نے اس سے منہ پھیر لیا اور فرمایا: ”تم میرے پاس اپنے ہاتھ میں جہنم کی آگ کا انگارہ لے کر آئے ہو“۔

It was narrated from Al-Bara' bin 'Azib that : A man was sitting with the Prophet [SAW] and he was wearing a gold ring. The Messenger of Allah [SAW] had a stick in his hand and the Prophet [SAW] struck his finger. The man said: What's wrong with me, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Why don't you get rid of this thing that is on your finger? The man took it and threw it away. The Prophet [SAW] saw him after that and said: What happened to the ring? He said: I threw it away. He said: I did not tell you to do that, rather I told you to sell it and benefit from its price. This Hadith is Munkar.

It was narrated from Abu Tha'labah Al-Khushani that : The Prophet [SAW] saw a gold ring on his hand, and he started to smack him with a stick that he had in his hand. When the Prophet [SAW] looked away, he threw it away. He said: I think that he hurt you or we made you lose money.
