Translation

It was narrated from Ibn Hunain, the freed slave of 'Ali, that 'Ali said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade me from four: Gold rings, wearing Al-Qassi, reciting Qur'an while I am bowing, and from wearing garments dyed with safflower.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ حُنَيْنٍ مَوْلَى عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَرْبَعٍ:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ التَّخَتُّمِ بِالذَّهَبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنْ لُبْسِ الْقَسِّيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنْ قِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ وَأَنَا رَاكِعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنْ لُبْسِ الْمُعَصْفَرِ . وَوَافَقَهُ أَيُّوبُ،‏‏‏‏ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَمْ يُسَمِّ الْمَوْلَى.

علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے چار باتوں سے منع فرمایا: سونے کی انگوٹھی پہننے، ریشمی کپڑے پہننے، اور رکوع کی حالت میں قرآن پڑھنے، اور زرد رنگ کا لباس پہننے سے۔ ( ابوعبدالرحمٰن نسائی کہتے ہیں ) ایوب نے عبیداللہ کی موافقت کی ہے مگر انہوں نے مولیٰ کا نام ذکر نہیں کیا۔

It was narrated from Nafi', from a freed slave of Ibn 'Abbas, that 'Ali said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade me from wearing garments dyed with safflower, and from Al-Qassi, and from gold rings, and that I recite Qur'an while I am bowing.

Ibn Hunain narrated that 'Ali said to him: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade me (from wearing) garments dyed with safflower, and from gold rings, and from wearing Al-Qassi, and that I recite Qur'an while I am bowing.
