It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'A woman from among the Children of Israel took a ring of gold and filled it with musk.' The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'That is the best kind of perfume.'

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خُلَيْدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اتَّخَذَتْ خَاتِمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَحَشَتْهُ مِسْكًا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ هُوَ أَطْيَبُ الطِّيبِ .

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”بنی اسرائیل کی ایک عورت نے سونے کی ایک انگوٹھی بنائی اور اس میں مشک بھر دی“، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”یہ سب سے عمدہ خوشبو ہے“۔

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: A man came to the Prophet [SAW] wearing a little dab of Khaluq. The Prophet [SAW] said to him: 'Go and scrub it off.' Then he came (again) and he said: 'Go and scrub it off.' Then he came to him (again) and he said: 'Go and scrub it off, and don't put it on again.'

It was narrated from Ya'la bin Murrah that: He passed by the Prophet [SAW] wearing Khaluq. He said to him: Do you have a wife? I said: No. He said: Wash it off, then wash it off, then do not put it on again.
