Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: Dinar for Dinar Dirham for Dirham, no difference between them.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مَالِكٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي تَمِيمٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الدِّينَارُ بِالدِّينَارِ،‏‏‏‏ وَالدِّرْهَمُ بِالدِّرْهَمِ،‏‏‏‏ لَا فَضْلَ بَيْنَهُمَا .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”دینار کے بدلے دینار اور درہم کے بدلے درہم ہو تو ان دونوں میں کمی زیادتی نہ ہو“۔

It was narrated that Mujahid said: Umar said: Dinar for Dinar, Dirham for Dirham, no difference between them, this is the obligation that our Prophet enjoined upon us.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Gold for gold, weight for weight, like for like; and silver for silver, weight for weight, like for like. Whoever gives more or takes more has engaged in Riba. '

It was narrated from Abu Saeed Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah said: Do not sell gold for gold except like for like and do not differentiate. Do not sell silver for silver except like for like, and do not sell it in return for something to be paid later.

It was narrated that Abu Saeed Al-Khudri said: My eyes saw and my ears heard the Messenger of Allah. And he mentioned the prohibition of (selling) gold for gold and silver for silver, unless it is equal amounts, like for like. And do not sell it in return for something to be paid later, and do not differentiate.

It was narrated from 'Ata' bin Yasir that: Muawiyah sold a cup of gold or silver for more than its weight. Abu Ad-Darda' said: I heard the Messenger of Allah forbid such transactions unless it was like for like.

It was narrated the Fadalah bin 'Ubaid said: On the Day of Khaibar I bought a necklace containing gold and ggems for twelve Dinars. The I took it apart and found that it contatined more than twelve Dinars. Mentiion of that was made to the Prophet and he said: 'It should not be sold until it is taken apart.
