Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

It was narrated that Mujahid said: Umar said: Dinar for Dinar, Dirham for Dirham, no difference between them, this is the obligation that our Prophet enjoined upon us.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مَالِكٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْمَكِّيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرُ:‏‏‏‏ الدِّينَارُ بِالدِّينَارِ،‏‏‏‏ وَالدِّرْهَمُ بِالدِّرْهَمِ،‏‏‏‏ لَا فَضْلَ بَيْنَهُمَا،‏‏‏‏ هَذَا عَهْدُ نَبِيِّنَا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْنَا .

عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ دینار کے بدلے دینار، درہم کے بدلے درہم کی بیع میں کمی زیادتی جائز نہیں، یہ ہم سے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا عہد ہے۔

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Gold for gold, weight for weight, like for like; and silver for silver, weight for weight, like for like. Whoever gives more or takes more has engaged in Riba. '

It was narrated from Abu Saeed Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah said: Do not sell gold for gold except like for like and do not differentiate. Do not sell silver for silver except like for like, and do not sell it in return for something to be paid later.

It was narrated that Abu Saeed Al-Khudri said: My eyes saw and my ears heard the Messenger of Allah. And he mentioned the prohibition of (selling) gold for gold and silver for silver, unless it is equal amounts, like for like. The I took it apart and found that it contatined more than twelve Dinars. Mentiion of that was made to the Prophet and he said: 'It should not be sold until it is taken apart.

It was narrated that Fadalah bin 'Ubad said: On the Day of Khaibar I got a necklace containing gold and gems, and I wanted to sell it. Mention of that was made to the Prophet and he said: 'Take it apart, and then sell it. '
