It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that a man from Banu Fazarah came to the Messenger of Allah and said: My wife has given birth to a black boy. The Messenger of Allah said: Do you have camels? He said: Yes. He said: What color are they? He said: Red. He said: Are there any gray ones among them? He said: There are some gray ones among them. He said: Where do you think they come from? He said: Perhaps it is hereditary. He said: Likewise, perhaps this is hereditary.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي فَزَارَةَ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ امْرَأَتِي وَلَدَتْ غُلَامًا أَسْوَدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ إِبِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَمَا أَلْوَانُهَا ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حُمْرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَهَلْ فِيهَا مِنْ أَوْرَقَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ فِيهَا لَوُرْقًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَنَّى تَرَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَتَى ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ نَزَعَهُ عِرْقٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ وَهَذَا عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ نَزَعَهُ عِرْقٌ .

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ بنی فرازہ کا ایک شخص رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا اور کہا: میری بیوی نے ایک کالے رنگ کا بچہ جنا ہے ۱؎، آپ نے فرمایا: ”کیا تمہارے پاس اونٹ ہیں؟“ اس نے کہا: جی ہاں! آپ نے فرمایا: ”کس رنگ کے ہیں؟“، اس نے کہا لال رنگ ( کے ہیں ) ، آپ نے فرمایا: ”کیا ان میں کوئی خاکستری رنگ کا بھی ہے؟“ اس نے کہا: ( جی ہاں ) ان میں خاکستری رنگ کے بھی ہیں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم کیا سمجھتے ہو یہ رنگ کہاں سے آیا؟“ اس نے کہا ہو سکتا ہے کسی رگ نے یہ رنگ کشید کیا ہو۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ” ( یہی بات یہاں بھی سمجھو ) ہو سکتا ہے کسی رگ نے اس رنگ کو کھینچا ہو“ ۲؎۔

He said: 'Are there any gray camels among them?' He said: 'There are some gray camels among them.' He said: 'Where do they come from?' He said: 'I do not know, O Allah's Messenger! Perhaps it is hereditary.' He said: 'Perhaps this is also hereditary.' Because of this, the Messenger of Allah decreed the following: 'It is not allowed for a man, to disown a child who was born on his bed, unless he claimed that he had seen an immoral act (Fahishah).'

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that he heard the Messenger of Allah say when the Verse of Mula'anah (Li'an) was revealed: Any woman who falsely attributes a man to people to whom he does not belong, has no share from Allah, and Allah will not admit her to His Paradise. Any man who denies his son while looking at him (knowing that he is indeed his son), Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, will cast him away, and disgrace him before the first and the last on the Day of Resurrection.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas and 'Abd bin Zam'ah disputed over a boy. Sa'd said: 'O Messenger of Allah! This is the son of my brother 'Utbah bin Abi Waqqas, who made me promise to look after him because he is his son. Look at whom he resembles.' 'Abd bin Zam'ah said: 'He is my brother who was born on my father's bed to his slave woman.' The Messenger of Allah looked to determine at whom he resembled, and saw that he resembled 'Utbah. He said: 'He is for you, O 'Abd! The child is the bed's and for the fornicator is the stone. Veil yourself from him, O Sawdah bint Zam'ah.' And he never saw Sawdah again.
