It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah said: '(A man should not be married to) a woman and her paternal aunt nor to a woman and her maternal aunt at the same time.'

أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا .

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ” ( نکاح میں ) عورت اور اس کی پھوپھی کو نہ جمع کیا جائے گا، اور نہ ہی عورت اور اس کی خالہ کو اکٹھا کیا جائے گا ۱؎“۔
