It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: in the year of Tabuk, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) addressed the people, while leaning against his mount. He said: 'Shall I not tell you of the best of the people and the worst of the people? Among the best of the people is a man who strives in the cause of Allah on the back of his horse, or on the back of his camel, or on his own two feet, until death comes to him. And among the worst of the people, is an immoral man (Fajir) who reads the Book of Allah but he does not refrain from doing anything bad because of it.'

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ تَبُوكَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ وَهُوَ مُسْنِدٌ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ النَّاسِ وَشَرِّ النَّاسِ ؟ إِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ النَّاسِ رَجُلًا عَمِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَلَى ظَهْرِ فَرَسِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ عَلَى ظَهْرِ بَعِيرِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ عَلَى قَدَمِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُ الْمَوْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنَّ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّاسِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏رَجُلًا فَاجِرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقْرَأُ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ لَا يَرْعَوِي إِلَى شَيْءٍ مِنْهُ .

ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ غزوہ تبوک کے سال رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی سواری سے پیٹھ لگائے خطبہ دے رہے تھے، آپ نے کہا: ”کیا میں تمہیں اچھے آدمی اور برے آدمی کی پہچان نہ بتاؤں؟ بہترین آدمی وہ ہے جو پوری زندگی اللہ کے راستے میں گھوڑے یا اونٹ کی پیٹھ پر سوار ہو کر یا اپنے قدموں سے چل کر کام کرے۔ اور لوگوں میں برا وہ فاجر شخص ہے جو کتاب اللہ ( قرآن ) تو پڑھتا ہے لیکن کتاب اللہ ( قرآن ) کی کسی چیز کا خیال نہیں کرتا“ ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: No man who weeps for fear of Allah will be touched by the Fire until the milk goes back into the udders. An the dust (of Jihad) in the cause of Allah, and the smoke of Hell, will never be combined in the nostrils of a Muslim.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: No man will enter the Fire who weeps for fear of Allah, Most High, until the milk goes back into the udders. And the dust (of Jihad) in the cause of Allah, and the smoke of Hell will never be combined.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Two will never be gathered together in the Fire: A Muslim who killed a disbeliever then tried his best and did not deviate. And two will never be gathered together in the lungs of a believer: Dust in the cause of Allah, and the odor of Hell. And two will never be gathered in the heart of a salve: Faith and envy.
