Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid said: I sqa Ibn Masud stone Jamratul 'Aqabah from the bottom of the valley, then he said: ;This - by the One beside Whom there is no other God-is the place where the one to whom Surat Al-Baqarah was revealed stood. '

أَخْبَرَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَا هُنَا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ مَقَامُ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ .

عبدالرحمٰن بن یزید کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کو دیکھا کہ انہوں نے جمرہ عقبہ کو وادی کے اندر سے کنکریاں ماریں، پھر کہا: قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے سوا کوئی حقیقی معبود نہیں، یہی ہے اس ہستی کے کھڑے ہونے کی جگہ جس پر سورۃ البقرہ اتاری گئی۔

Jafar bin Muhammad bin 'Ali bin Husain narrated that his father said: We entered upon Jabir bin 'Abdullah and I said: 'Tell me about the Hajj of the Prophet.
