It was narrated the Usmah bin Zaid said: I entered the House with the Messenger of Allah. He sat and praised Allah, and recited the Takbir, and the Tahlil. Then he went to the wall of the House that was in front of him, and placed his chest, cheek and hands on it, then he recited the Takbir, and the Tahlil, and supplicated. And he did that in all the corners, then he came out, and turned to face the Qiblah while he was in front of the door, and he said: 'This is the Qiblah, this is the Qiblah.'
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ دَخَلْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَيْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجَلَسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَبَّرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَلَّلَ ثُمَّ مَالَ إِلَى مَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ الْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَوَضَعَ صَدْرَهُ عَلَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَخَدَّهُ وَيَدَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَلَّلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَدَعَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ بِالْأَرْكَانِ كُلِّهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ خَرَجَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَى الْقِبْلَةِ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْبَاب:‏‏‏‏، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ .
اسامہ بن زید رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ خانہ کعبہ کے اندر گیا۔ آپ بیٹھے پھر آپ نے اللہ کی حمد و ثنا اور تکبیر و تہلیل کی، پھر آپ بیت اللہ کے اس حصہ کی طرف جھکے جو آپ کے سامنے تھا، اور آپ نے اس پر اپنا سینہ، رخسار اور اپنے دونوں ہاتھ رکھے، پھر تکبیر و تہلیل کی، اور دعا مانگی، آپ نے اسی طرح خانہ کعبہ کے سبھی ستونوں پر کیا، پھر باہر نکلے دروازے کے پاس آئے، اور قبلہ رخ ہو کر فرمایا: ”یہی قبلہ ہے یہی قبلہ ہے ۱؎“۔
