Translation

It was narrated from 'Aishah that a woman asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about performing Ghusl following menstruation and he told her how to perform Ghusl. Then he said: Take a piece of cloth perfumed with musk and purify yourself with it. She said: How should I purify myself with it? He covered his face then said: Subhan Allah! Purify yourself with it. 'Aishah said: I took the woman aside and said: 'Wipe away the traces of blood with it.'

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ صَفِيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُمِّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَأَلْتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ غُسْلِهَا مِنَ الْمَحِيضِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَخْبَرَهَا كَيْفَ تَغْتَسِلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خُذِي فِرْصَةً مِنْ مَسْكٍ فَتَطَهَّرِي بِهَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ وَكَيْفَ أَتَطَهَّرُ بِهَا ؟ فَاسْتَتَرَ كَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏تَطَهَّرِي بِهَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا:‏‏‏‏ فَجَذَبْتُ الْمَرْأَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ تَتَّبِعِينَ بِهَا أَثَرَ الدَّمِ.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں: ایک عورت نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے حیض کے غسل کے متعلق پوچھا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے بتایا کہ وہ کیسے غسل کرے، پھر فرمایا: ( غسل کے بعد ) مشک لگا ہوا ( روئی کا ) ایک پھاہا لے کر اس سے طہارت حاصل کرو ، ( عورت بولی ) اس سے کیسے طہارت حاصل کروں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس طرح پردہ کر لیا ( یعنی شرم سے اپنے منہ پر ہاتھ کی آڑ کر لی ) پھر فرمایا: سبحان اللہ! اس سے پاکی حاصل کرو ، ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں: تو میں نے عورت کو پکڑ کر کھینچ لیا، اور ( چپکے سے اس کے کان میں ) کہا: اسے خون کے نشان پر پھیرو ۱؎۔

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used not to perform Wudu' after Ghusl.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: My maternal aunt Maimunah told me: 'I brought the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) water for his Ghusl from Janabah, and he washed his hands two or three times, then he put his right hand in the vessel and poured water over his private part, then he washed it with his left hand. Then he put his left hand on the ground and rubbed it hard. Then he performed Wudu' as for prayer,then poured three scoops with his two hands full of water over his head, then he washed his entire body, then he moved away from where he had been standing and washed his feet.' She said: 'Then I brought him a towel but he refused it.'

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: If the Prophet (ﷺ) - (one of the narrators) 'Amr said: If the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) - wanted to eat or sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu'. In his narration, 'Amr (one of the narrators) added: Wudu' was for prayer.
