Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: Whoever follows the funeral of a Muslim man, seeking reward, and offers the prayer and buries him, will have two Qirats. And whoever offers the funeral prayer then goes back before the burial, then he returns with one Qirat of reward.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَوْفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةَ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ احْتِسَابًا فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا وَدَفَنَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُدْفَنَ فَإِنَّهُ يَرْجِعُ بِقِيرَاطٍ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ .

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جو شخص طلب ثواب کے لیے کسی مسلمان کے جنازے کے ساتھ جائے، اور اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھے، اور اسے دفنائے تو اس کے لیے دو قیراط ( کا ثواب ) ہے، اور جو ( صرف ) نماز جنازہ پڑھے اور دفنانے جانے سے پہلے لوٹ آئے، تو وہ ایک قیراط ( ثواب ) لے کر لوٹتا ہے“۔

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Tha'labah said: The Messenger of Allah said, concerning those who had been slain at Uhud: 'Wrap them up on their clothes that are stained with blood, for there is no wound that is sustained for the sake of Allah, but it will come bleeding on the Day of Resurrection: its color will be the color of blood, but its fragrance will be the fragrance of musk. '
