Translation

It was narrated that Usamah bin Zaid said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and Bilal entered Al-Aswaf [1] and he went to relieve himself and then came out. Usamah said: I asked Bilal: 'What did he do?' Bilal said: 'The Prophet (ﷺ) went to relieve himself, then he performed Wudu', so he washed his hands and face, and wiped his head and he wiped over his Khuffs, then prayed.'

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ دُحَيْمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبِلَالٌ الْأَسْوَاقَ فَذَهَبَ لِحَاجَتِهِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أُسَامَةُ:‏‏‏‏ فَسَأَلْتُ بِلَالًا:‏‏‏‏ مَا صَنَعَ ؟ فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ:‏‏‏‏ ذَهَبَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحَاجَتِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ صَلَّى .

اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہا کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور بلال رضی اللہ عنہ اسواف ۱؎ میں داخل ہوئے، تو آپ قضائے حاجت کے لیے تشریف لے گئے، پھر نکلے، اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ تو میں نے بلال رضی اللہ عنہ سے دریافت کیا: آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کیا کیا؟ بلال رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم قضائے حاجت کے لیے تشریف لے گئے، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وضو کیا، چنانچہ اپنا چہرہ اور اپنے دونوں ہاتھ دھوئے، اور اپنے سر کا مسح کیا، اور دونوں موزوں پر مسح کیا، پھر نماز ادا کی۔

It was narrated from Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas, from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), with regard to wiping over the Khuffs; There is nothing wrong with it.

It was narrated that Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah said: The Prophet (ﷺ) went out to relieve himself, and when he came back, I met him with a vessel (of water). I poured some for him and he washed his hands, then he washed his face. Then he wanted to wash his forearms but his Jubbah was too tight, so he brought them out from beneath the Jubbah to wash them, and he wiped over his Khuffs, then he led us in prayer.

It was narrated from Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went out to relieve himself, and Al-Mughirah followed him, (carrying) a vessel of water. He poured water for him when he had finished relieving himself, and he performed Wudu' and wiped over his Khuffs.

Hamzah bin Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (narrated) that his father said: I was with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey, and he said: 'Stay back O Mughirah! Go ahead, O people!' So I went back, and I had with me a vessel of water. The people went ahead, and there the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) relieved himself. when he came back I went and poured water for him. He was wearing a Roman Jubbah with narrow sleeves, and he wanted to expose his hands (to wash them) but the sleeves were too tight, so he brought his hands out from beneath the Jubbah and washed his head, and wiped over his Khuffs.

It was narrated that Safwan bin 'Assal said: The Prophet (ﷺ) granted us a dispensation when traveling, allowing us not to take off our Khuffs for three days and three nights.
