Narrated Zayd ibn Khalid: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Do not curse the cock, for it awakens for prayer.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَسُبُّوا الدِّيكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّهُ يُوقِظُ لِلصَّلَاةِ .

زید بن خالد رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مرغ کو برا بھلا نہ کہو، کیونکہ وہ نماز فجر کے لیے جگاتا ہے ۔

Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: when you hear the cocks crowing, ask Allah for some of His grace, for they have seen as angel; but when you hear an ass braying, seek refuge in Allah from the devil, for it has seen the devil.

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: When you hear the barking of dogs and the braying of asses at night, seek refuge in Allah, for they see which you do not see.

Narrated Ali ibn Umar ibn Husayn ibn Ali: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: Do not go out much when there are few people about, for Allah the Exalted scatters abroad of His beasts in that hour (according to Ibn Marwan's version). Ibn Marwan's version has: For Allah has creatures. He then mentioned the barking of dogs and braying of asses in a similar manner. He added in his version: Ibn al-Had said: Shurahbil ibn al-Hajib told me on the authority of Jabir ibn Abdullah from the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم similar to it.

Narrated Abu Rafi: I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم uttering the call to prayer (Adhan) in the ear of al-Hasan ibn Ali when Fatimah gave birth to him.

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: Boys used to be brought to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, and he would invoke blessings on them. Yusuf added: and soften some dates and rub their palates with them . He did not mention blessings .
