Asma, daughter of Abu Bakr, told of a woman who said: Messenger of Allah! I have a fellow-wife; will it be wrong for me to boast of receiving from my husband what he does not give me? He replied: the one who boasts of receiving what he has not been given is like him who has put on two garments of falsehood.

So when he entered, he caught hold of her in order to slap her, and said: Do I see you raising your voice to the Messenger of Allah? The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم began to prevent him and Abu Bakr went out angry. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said when Abu Bakr went out: You see I rescued you from the man. Abu Bakr waited for some days, then asked permission of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم to enter, and found that they had made peace with each other. He said to them: Bring me into your peace as you brought me into your war. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: We have done so: we have done so.
