Narrated Abu Hurairah: A hermaphrodite (mukhannath) who had dyed his hands and feet with henna was brought to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. He asked: What is the matter with this man? He was told: Messenger of Allah! he affects women's get-up. So he ordered regarding him and he was banished to an-Naqi'. The people said: Messenger of Allah! should we not kill him? He said: I have been prohibited from killing people who pray. Abu Usamah said: Naqi' is a region near Madina and not a Baqi'.

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أَبَا أُسَامَةَ أَخْبَرَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُفَضَّلِ بْنِ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْأَبِي يَسَارٍ الْقُرَشِيِّ،‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِمُخَنَّثٍ قَدْ خَضَّبَ يَدَيْهِ وَرِجْلَيْهِ بِالْحِنَّاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا بَالُ هَذَا ؟ فَقِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَتَشَبَّهُ بِالنِّسَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَنُفِيَ إِلَى النَّقِيعِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَا نَقْتُلُهُ ؟ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ عَنْ قَتْلِ الْمُصَلِّينَ قَالَ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ:‏‏‏‏ وَالنَّقِيعُ نَاحِيَةٌ عَنْ الْمَدِينَةِ وَلَيْسَ بِالْبَقِيعِ.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس ایک ہجڑا لایا گیا جس نے اپنے ہاتھوں اور پیروں میں مہندی لگا رکھی تھی تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس کا کیا حال ہے؟ عرض کیا گیا: اللہ کے رسول! یہ عورتوں جیسا بنتا ہے، آپ نے حکم دیا تو اسے نقیع کی طرف نکال دیا گیا، لوگوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم اسے قتل نہ کر دیں؟، آپ نے فرمایا: مجھے نماز پڑھنے والوں کو قتل کرنے سے منع کیا گیا ہے نقیع مدینے کے نواح میں ایک جگہ ہے اس سے مراد بقیع ( مدینہ کا قبرستان ) نہیں ہے۔

Umm Salamah said that the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم came upon her when there was with her a hermaohrodite (mukhannath) who said to her brother Abdullah (b. Abi Umayyah): if Allah conquers al-Ta’if for you tomorrow, I shall lead you to a woman who has four folds of fats in front and eight behind. Thereupon the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Put them out of your houses. Abu Dawud said: The woman had four folds of fat on her belly.

Ibn Abbas said: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم cursed the hermaphrodites (mukhannathan) among men and women who imitated men, saying: Put them out of your houses, and put so and so out, that is to say, the hermaphrodites.

Aishah said: I used to play with dolls. Sometimes the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم entered upon me when the girls were with me. When he came in, they went out, and when he went out, they came in.

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: When the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم arrived after the expedition to Tabuk or Khaybar (the narrator is doubtful), the draught raised an end of a curtain which was hung in front of her store-room, revealing some dolls which belonged to her. He asked: What is this? She replied: My dolls. Among them he saw a horse with wings made of rags, and asked: What is this I see among them? She replied: A horse. He asked: What is this that it has on it? She replied: Two wings. He asked: A horse with two wings? She replied: Have you not heard that Solomon had horses with wings? She said: Thereupon the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم laughed so heartily that I could see his molar teeth.

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم married me when I was seven or six. When we came to Madina, some women came. according to Bishr's version: Umm Ruman came to me when I was swinging. They took me, made me prepared and decorated me. I was then brought to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, and he took up cohabitation with me when I was nine. She halted me at the door, and I burst into laughter. Abu Dawud said: That is to say: I menstruated, and I was brought in a house, and there were some women of the Ansari in it. They said: With good luck and blessing. The tradition of one of them has been included in the other.
