Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: It is not right for a Muslim to keep apart from another Muslim for more than three days. Then when he meets him and gives three salutations, receiving during that time no response, the other bears his sin.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَثْمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُنِيبِ يَعْنِي الْمَدَنِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِيهِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يَكُونُ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ مُسْلِمًا فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةٍ فَإِذَا لَقِيَهُ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ كُلُّ ذَلِكَ لَا يَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِ فَقَدْ بَاءَ بِإِثْمِهِ .

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کسی مسلمان کے لیے درست نہیں کہ وہ اپنے بھائی کو تین دن سے زیادہ چھوڑے رکھے تو جب وہ ( تین دن کے بعد ) اس سے ملے اسے تین مرتبہ سلام کرے، اور وہ ایک بار بھی سلام کا جواب نہ دے تو وہ اپنا گناہ لے کر لوٹے گا ۱؎ ۔

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: It is not allowable for a Muslim to keep apart from his brother for more than three days, for one who does so and dies will enter Hell.

Narrated AbuKhirash as-Sulami: AbuKhirash heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: If one keeps apart from his brother for a year, it is like shedding his blood.

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: The gates of Paradise are opened on Mondays and Thursdays, and forgiveness is granted to every man who does not associate anything with Allah, except for a man between whom and his brother there is rancor. Command will be given that they should be given respite till they conciliate. Abu Dawud said: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم kept apart from some of his wives for forty days, and Ibn Umar kept apart from his son till he died. Abu Dawud said: If keeping apart is meant for the sake of Allah, then it has no concern with it. Umar bin Abd al-Aziz covered his face from a man.

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: Avoid suspicion for suspicion is the most lying form of talk. Do not be inquisitive about one another, or spy on one another.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The believer is the believer's mirror, and the believer is the believer's brother who guards him against loss and protects him when he is absent.

Narrated Abud Darda: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Shall I not inform you of something more excellent in degree than fasting, prayer and almsgiving (sadaqah)? The people replied: Yes, Prophet of Allah! He said: It is putting things right between people, spoiling them is the shaver (destructive).
