Abbad bin Tamim quoted his paternal uncle as saying that he had seen the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم lying on his back in the mosque according to Qanabi’s version) placing one foot over the other.

حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمِّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُسْتَلْقِيًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ:‏‏‏‏ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى .

عباد بن تمیم اپنے چچا (عبداللہ بن زید بن عاصم رضی اللہ عنہ) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو مسجد میں ایک پیر کو دوسرے پیر پر رکھے ہوئے چت لیٹے دیکھا ۱؎۔
