Saeed bin al-musayyab said: Umar bin al-khattab and Uthman bin Affan used to do that.

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رضي الله عنه وَعُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ كَانَا يَفْعَلَانِ ذَلِكَ.

سعید بن مسیب کہتے ہیں کہ عمر بن خطاب اور عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہما بھی اسے کیا کرتے تھے۔
