Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: The spirits are in marshalled hosts; those who know one another will be friendly, and those who do not, will keep apart.

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي الزَّرْقَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بُرْقَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْأَصَمِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَرْفَعُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا ائْتَلَفَ وَمَا تَنَاكَرَ مِنْهَا اخْتَلَفَ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: روحیں ( عالم ارواح میں ) الگ الگ جھنڈوں میں ہوتی ہیں یعنی ( بدن کے پیدا ہونے سے پہلے روحوں کے جھنڈ الگ الگ ہوتے ہیں ) تو ان میں سے جن میں آپس میں ( عالم ارواح میں ) جان پہچان تھی وہ دنیا میں بھی ایک دوسرے سے مانوس ہوتی ہیں اور جن میں اجنبیت تھی وہ دنیا میں بھی الگ الگ رہتی ہیں ۔
