Narrated as-Saib: I came to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. The people began to praise me and make a mention of me. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: I know you, that is, he knew him. I said: My father and mother be sacrificed for you! you were my partner and how good a partner ; you neither disputed nor quarrelled.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُهَاجِرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَائِدِ السَّائِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْالسَّائِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَعَلُوا يُثْنُونَ عَلَيَّ وَيَذْكُرُونِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَا أَعْلَمُكُمْ يَعْنِي بِهِ،‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ صَدَقْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي كُنْتَ شَرِيكِي فَنِعْمَ الشَّرِيكُ كُنْتَ لَا تُدَارِي وَلَا تُمَارِي.

سائب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا، تو لوگ میری تعریف اور میرا ذکر کرنے لگے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں ان کو تم لوگوں سے زیادہ جانتا ہوں میں نے عرض کیا: سچ کہا آپ نے میرے باپ ماں آپ پر قربان ہوں، آپ میرے شریک تھے، تو آپ ایک بہترین شریک تھے، نہ آپ لڑتے تھے اور نہ جھگڑتے تھے۔

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: Maymun ibn Abu Shabib said: A beggar passed by Aishah and gave him a piece of bread. Another man who wore clothes and had good appearance passed by her, and she made her seated and he ate (with her). When she was asked about that, she replied: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: treat the people according to their ranks. Abu Dawud said: The version of Yahya is short. Abu Dawud said: Maimun did not see 'Aishah.
