Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The water from as-Suqya' was considered sweetest by the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. Qutaybah said: it was a well on two days' journey from Madina.
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْهِشَامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا:‏‏‏‏ أَنّ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَسِلَّمَ كَانَ يُسْتَعْذَبُ لَهُ الْمَاءُ مِنْ بُيُوتِ السُّقْيَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قِالَ قُتَيْبَةُ:‏‏‏‏ عَيْنٌ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ الْمَدِينَةِ يَوْمَانِ.
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لیے سقیا کے گھروں سے میٹھا پانی لایا جاتا۔ قتیبہ کہتے ہیں: سقیا ایک چشمہ ہے جس کی مسافت مدینہ سے دو دن کی ہے۔
