Jabir bin Abd Allaah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying “Do not send out your beasts when the sun has set till the darkness of the night prevails, for the devils grope about in the dark when the sun has set till the darkness of the night prevails. ”

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تُرْسِلُوا فَوَاشِيَكُمْ إِذَا غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ حَتَّى تَذْهَبَ فَحْمَةُ الْعِشَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ تَعِيثُ إِذَا غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ حَتَّى تَذْهَبَ فَحْمَةُ الْعِشَاءِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ الْفَوَاشِي مَا يَفْشُو مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ.

جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب سورج ڈوب جائے تو اپنے جانوروں کو نہ چھوڑو یہاں تک کہ رات کی ابتدائی سیاہی چلی جائے، کیونکہ شیاطین سورج ڈوبنے کے بعد فساد مچاتے ہیں یہاں تک کہ رات کی ابتدائی سیاہی چلی جائے ۱؎۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: «فواشی» ہر شیٔ کا وہ حصہ ہے جو پھیل جائے۔

Narrated Kab ibn Malik: It was rarely that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم set out on a journey on any day but on a Thursday.

Narrated Sakhr al-Ghamidi: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: O Allah, bless my people in their early mornings. When he sent out a detachment or an army, he sent them at the beginning of the day. Sakhr was a merchant, and he would send off his merchandise at the beginning of the day; and he became rich and had much wealth. Abu Dawud said: He is Sakhr bin Wada'ah.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: A single rider is a devil, and a pair of riders are a pair of devils, but three are a company of riders.
