Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: The tradition mentioned above (No. 2468) has also been transmitted by Abdullah ibn Budayl through a different chain of narrators in a similar way. This version adds: While he (Umar) was observing Itikaf (in the sacred mosque), the people uttered (loudly): Allah is most great. He said: What is this, Abdullah? He said: These are the captives of the Hawazin whom the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم has set free. He said: This slave-girl too? He sent her along with them.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي الْعَنْقَزِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُدَيْلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بِإِسْنَادِهِ نَحْوَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَبَيْنَمَا هُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ إِذْ كَبَّرَ النَّاسُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا هَذَا يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَبْيُ هَوَازِنَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَعْتَقَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَتِلْكَ الْجَارِيَةُ فَأَرْسَلَهَا مَعَهُمْ.

اس سند سے بھی عبداللہ بن بدیل سے اسی طرح مروی ہے، اس میں ہے اسی دوران کہ وہ ( عمر رضی اللہ عنہ ) حالت اعتکاف میں تھے لوگوں نے الله أكبر کہا، تو پوچھا: عبداللہ! یہ کیا ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ قبیلہ ہوازن والوں کے قیدیوں کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آزاد کر دیا ہے، کہا: یہ لونڈی بھی ( تو انہیں میں سے ہے ) ۱؎ چنانچہ انہوں نے اسے بھی ان کے ساتھ آزاد کر دیا۔

Aishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said “One of the wives of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم observed I’tikaf along with him (in the mosque). She would see yellowness and redness. Sometimes we would place a washbasin while she prayed. ”
