The aforesaid tradition (No. 2182) has also been transmitted by Ali (ibn al-Mubarak) through a different chain of narrators to the same effect. This version adds: Ibn Abbas said: There remained one more pronouncement of divorce for you. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم took the same decision. Abu Dawud said: I heard Ahmad bin Hanbal say: Abd al-Razzaq said that Ibn al-Mubarak said to Mamar: Who is this Abu al-Hasan ? He bore a big rock. Abu Dawud said: Al-Zuhri has narrated (traditions) on the authority of this Abu al-Hasan. Al-Zuhri said: He was lawyer, and al-Zuhri narrated many traditions from Abu al-Hasan. Abu Dawud said: Abu al-Hasan is well known narrator. This tradition is not practiced.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيٌّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ بِلَا إِخْبَارٍ. قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ:‏‏‏‏ بَقِيَتْ لَكَ وَاحِدَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَضَى بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْت أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ لِمَعْمَرٍ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ هَذَا ؟ لَقَدْ تَحَمَّلَ صَخْرَةً عَظِيمَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ هَذَا رَوَى عَنْهُ الزُّهْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ:‏‏‏‏ وَكَانَ مِنَ الْفُقَهَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏رَوَى الزُّهْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ أَحَادِيثَ. قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مَعْرُوفٌ وَلَيْسَ الْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ.

عثمان بن عمر کہتے ہیں کہ ہمیں علی نے خبر دی ہے آگے سابقہ سند سے اسی مفہوم کی روایت مذکور ہے لیکن عنعنہ کے صیغے کے ساتھ ہے نہ کہ «أخبرنا» کے صیغے کے ساتھ، اس میں ہے کہ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا: تیرے لیے ایک طلاق باقی رہ گئی ہے، اللہ کے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسی کا فیصلہ فرمایا ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: میں نے احمد بن حنبل کو کہتے سنا کہ عبدالرزاق کہتے ہیں کہ ابن مبارک نے معمر سے پوچھا کہ یہ ابوالحسن کون ہیں؟ انہوں نے ایک بھاری چٹان اٹھا لی ہے؟ ۱؎۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: ابوالحسن وہی ہیں جن سے زہری نے روایت کی ہے، زہری کہتے ہیں کہ وہ فقہاء میں سے تھے، زہری نے ابوالحسن سے کئی حدیثیں روایت کی ہیں۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: ابوالحسن معروف ہیں اور اس حدیث پر عمل نہیں ہے۔

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The divorce of a slave-woman consists in saying it twice and her waiting period is two menstrual courses (qur') Abu Asim said: A similar tradition has been narrated to me by Muzahir and al-Qasim on the authority of Aishah from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, except that he said: And her waiting period ('iddah) is two courses. Abu Dawud said: This tradition is obscure.

Amr bin Shuaib on his father's authority said that his grandfather (Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As): The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: There is no divorce except in what you possess; there is no possession, there is no sale transaction till you possess. The narrator Ibn as-Sabbah added: There is no fulfilling a vow till you possess.

This version adds “If anyone swears an oath to do an act of disobedience to GOD, his oath is not valid, and if anyone swears an oath to sever relationship, his oath is not valid (i. e., he must not fulfill it)

Muhammad ibn Ubayd ibn Abu Salih who lived in Ayliya said: I went out with Adi ibn Adi al-Kindi till we came to Makkah. He sent me to Safiyyah daughter of Shaybah who remembered a tradition (that she had heard) from Aishah. She said: I heard Aishah say: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: There is no divorce or emancipation in case of constraint or duress (ghalaq). Abu Dawud said: I think ghalaq means anger.
